Borussia Monchengladbach will be out to seek some reprieve in the German Cup when they host Borussia Dortmund in the quarter finals of the competition. This game comes on the back of a very poor run for Monchengladbach, which has left the team winless in their last five matches. The game will be key for Gladbach manager Marco Rose, who recently announced he will be joining Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. Monchengladbach are Dortmund’s first Bundesliga opponents in this competition but with their run over the hosts, they shouldn’t have any jitters. In the last round in this competition, Dortmund trailed 2-0 against Paderborn, but recovered and went on to win 3-2 after extra time.
