Ligue 1 leaders Monaco look to extend their stay at the top of the points tally as they host a struggling Metz side. This match to be played at the Stade Louis-II will see the hosts top of the standings with a point lead from the next-placed Nice, while the visitors are 15th with only a point separating them from the bottom-three. Monaco went into the international break with the confidence of a 3-1 win over Reims. That result made it two wins in a row in the league for the leaders. Both the games saw them score exactly three goals each. That is in line with how their season went as Monaco have scored 21 goals in the season, at least four more than every other club. They have been really impressive at home this season, winning three of their four league matches at this venue. The only loss came when they were beaten 1-0 by Nice.

Metz are in the midst of a spiralling poor form that has taken them closer to the bottom-three.
