Mirandés vs Sevilla Prediction & Betting Tips - Copa del Rey

La Liga 2 side Mirandes bid to cause a big upset in the Copa del Rey when they host Sevilla in the last sixteen. Mirandes are 10th in the second-tier with their opponents currently third in La Liga. Mirandes are only two points behind the final promotion play-off position. They'd be closer but for drawing ten league games this season including each of their last three. To reach the last sixteen of the Copa del Rey, Mirandes needed a 92nd minute equalizer at third-tier Coruxo in the first round, eventually winning 5-4 after extra time. Their drawing habit continued as they needed extra time to get past UCAM Murcia in round two. Lo and behold, it happened again in the last 32 but this time they caused a surprise when beating La Liga strugglers Celta Vigo 2-1 at home. They come into this game unbeaten in their last 12 home matches but have only won one of their last five home games in this competition.
Sevilla are third in La Liga but five points behind second placed Barcelona and eight adrift of leaders Real Madrid. They have only lost one of their last seven league and cup games, an away loss to Real Madrid. They had few problems reaching this stage starting with a 5-0 away win at Escobedo who are in the fourth tier of Spanish football. That was followed up by a 3-1 home win over fellow La Liga side Levante. Since 2015, they have only lost three away ties in this tournament and it took Barcelona and Real Madrid to inflict those defets. Sevilla won't play a full strength side but should be able to get the win here to reach the last eight.
