Millwall - Sheffield United: Form Analysis
Millwall, just like Sheffield United, are angling for promotion to the Premier League and come into this match sitting just one point outside of the promotion playoffs. They have won 13 matches, drawn seven and lost 10. The 30 goals they have conceded all season have them tied with Sheffield for second-best. However, they haven’t been as elite in attack but their 36 goals equate to slightly over a goal a game. Millwall have struggled with inconsistency all through the season as since winning four matches in a row back in October, they haven’t been able to get successive wins. They have won two and lost two of their last five league games and have conceded at least one goal a game in all but one of those matches. One thing that has also stood out in Millwall’s recent outings is their accumulation of yellow cards. At least two players have been booked in a game in four of the last five matches for Millwall. At home is where Millwall have been at their best but in the last five matches they have managed just one win with four draws. In that sequence of matches, they have been kept from scoring twice and in both games the score was 0-0. Three of their last five goals at home have come in the second half.
Sheffield United are now eight points behind the league leaders Burnley, after they fell 3-1 at home to third-placed Middlesbrough. The result left them just four points above their tormentors and they will be keen to get back to winning ways to consolidate their automatic promotion position. Sheffield United have been on a rocky start to the year and have won just three of their six matches in the league in 2023. They have scored nine goals in those six matches and have kept three clean sheets. In those six games, they have opened the scoring four times with three goals coming inside the first 10 minutes. Away from home in the Championship, United are on a seven-game unbeaten run with five wins and two draws and at least one goal in six of those matches. They have been solid in that run, with four clean sheets and just three goals conceded. On the road all season they have allowed more than one goal against them on only two occasions, keeping their hosts at bay seven times. Millwall were dumped out of the FA Cup by Sheffield United in January, losing 2-0. This stretched their run without a goal or a win against United to three matches. Key to their progress this season has been their defensive set up which has not allowed more than one goal a game in the last nine league matches.

Millwall & Sheffield United Squad Analysis
Sheffield were stunned at home last time out and will want to recover quickly. They will, however, continue to be without six players due to injuries, among them defenders George Bladock and Enda Stevens as well as strikers Rhian Brewster and Billy Sharp. The visitors will have Iliman Ndiaye leading the attack and Oliver McBurnie should be available too from the start as support. The two forwards have been in good form for the Blades in recent times. As for Millwall, the attack should be led by the dynamic duo of Zian Flemming and Tom Bradshaw. The two have scored a combined 15 goals
