Millwall vs Bristol City Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Steve Ashfield | in Championship Predictions
Both of these sides start the weekend just a point adrift of the Championship play-offs but have had very different seasons. Millwall got off to a poor start and have made a great recovery, while Bristol City started well but have dropped down the table this year. Millwall are eighth in the table but form guides for the past 20 league games have them as a top three side. In fact, over the last 20 league games they have earned a point more than league leaders Wolves. Their season got off to a poor start with just two points from their first four games, though that did include a goalless draw at Bristol City. After 23 league games they were still 17th in the table and any thought of a push for promotion to the Premier League was rather fanciful. However, Millwall are unbeaten in their last 14 league matches and 12 games unbeaten at home. They have drawn six of those 12 unbeaten home games and just converting one into a win would see them in the play-off places.
Bristol City were as high as third in the table a few months ago but their minds went off the ball a bit in the league as they reached the last four of the Carabao Cup before losing to eventual winners Manchester City. Their form continues to be disappointing with one win in the last five league games and on the road they have gone nine away league game without a win. Even so, they remain just a place and a point below the play-off places.
Between them these two sides have drawn 28 league games between them but Millwall have the form at present to beat a Bristol City side that struggle on their travels so the tip here is for a home win.

Our Millwall vs Bristol City Prediction
Both sides have a decent chance of making the play-offs but it is Millwall who have the momentum going into this game.
