Middlesbrough vs Tottenham Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by Daniel Ngulu | in FA Cup Predictions
Middlesbrough have already. Sprung an upset in the FA Cup and they will be up for it again when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur at the Riverside Stadium. In the last round of the FA Cup, Middlesbrough eliminated Manchester United on post match penalties after a 1-1 draw. Coming into this game though, things haven’t gone all well for them; they have two losses in the last three matches. They earlier lost to Bristol City, these two defeats sandwiching a win over West Bromwich Albion. The 3-2 loss to Barnsley in their most recent game meant each of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals and they have conceded in each one of them. Three times in the last five matches, Middlesbrough have conceded two or more goals, but they have scored two or more in four of the five matches.
Tottenham have had an inconsistent run this season but they head into this game on the back of a comfortable 4-0 win over struggling Leeds United. This was their second win in three matches but that’s all they’ve managed for the last five matches. They’ve failed to score in two of their last four matches and the win over Leeds presented their first clean sheet in 11 matches. Spurs biggest positive going into this game is that their star striker, Harry Kane is back in form and he goes to this game having scored three goals in the last three matches. His return to form has been complemented by Son Heung-Min’s recovery and good form as well, while new signing Dejan Kulusevski has also had a good start at the team. Spurs’ recent matches have been high-scoring; three of the last five have produced over 2.5 goals and they’ve scored two or more in three while they’ve also conceded two or more in three of the five.

Our Middlesbrough vs Tottenham Prediction
Middlesbrough have already eliminated a Premier League team away from home, and here they will make another attempt, but at home. One thing about these two sides heading into this game has been their high scoring matches. Over 2.5 goals has been a regular stat in their matches and we are backing the same here.
