Middlesbrough had a welcome win in their last game and climbed up to 19th in the Championship. They host Swansea City who are 11th but still in with a good chance of making it into the play-offs. Middlesbrough had gone ten league games without a win before their 1-0 win at Charlton Athletic (now in the relegation zone). Home form has been a problem for them with their last victory being on Boxing Day. That was their fourth straight home league victory but since then they have gone six without a win. Seven of their last ten home league games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. They have only scored 18 goals in their 19 home league games this season but will want to build on that win at Charlton.

Swansea City aren't even in the top ten but are just three points behind the final promotion play-off position. If they do want to have a chance of returning to the Premier League, they need to cut out the draws. Four of their last six league games have ended that way making it 14 for the season to date. Swansea also need to improve their away league record with no wins in the last seven and just one in 11. Their last three away wins have come against sides battling relegation.
