In-form Middlesbrough host Swansea City in the Championship on Saturday with their slim hopes of a playoff spot still flickering in the distance. It would take a strange set of results to see them move from 10th in the table up to 6th, closing a gap of six points on Norwich with just six games left of the season, but a win here would boost Michael Carrick's teams hopes of doing that. Their recent form suggests that is on the cards as they are unbeaten in their last six games, winning four of those matches and conceding just two goals across all six games. Boro fans will be rueing their poor form of February and into March where they lost four games out of five, a run which effectively pushed them out of immediate contention in the playoff race. 

15th-placed Swansea Citt have won just one of their last five games and none of those games have seen Over 2.5 goals scored. The Swans have scored four and conceded the same amount of goals over that period, which shows you that their games are usually close run affairs. With 47 points, they are not yet safe from the drop and will likely need a win from their last six games to ensure that they remain in the division. They should achieve that given that they have some winnable games left to play this season (at home to Stoke and Rotherham United in their next two games following this looking good opportunities to do precisely that). However, they may find it a struggle here taking on the in-form home side.
