Middlesbrough vs Leeds Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Steve Ashfield | in Championship Predictions
It's not been a great week for Middlesbrough after a shock FA Cup loss to Newport County. That was their second defeat by a lower league team in the cup competitions this season. Now at least they can concentrate on trying to win promotion back to the Premier League. They start the weekend in fith place im the table and seven points adrift of the two automatic promotion places. Their league form is good though with an unbeaten run of five league games going into this match. Last weekend saw them win 3-2 at fellow promotion-chasers West Bromwich Albion, coming from 2-1 down with 15 minutes to go. Home form for Middlesbrough is strong with only one loss in the last four games.
Leeds United lost top spot in the Championship last weekend when losing 3-1 to new leaders Norwich City. That was their fourth defeat in their last six games and it looks as if all that homework isn't paying off. They only trail Norwich City on goal difference but need to get back in winning ways and quick. They lead third-placed Sheffield United by three points but that lead could disappear if United win at Aston Villa on Friday evening. Leeds have lost two of their last three away league games losing to Nottingham Forest and Stoke City. This looks a tricky game for Leeds and the tip is for a home win.

Our Middlesbrough vs Leeds Prediction
It's starting to get worrying for Leeds United with a run of four league defeats in six. They have lost two of their last three away league games and both were to sides that are outside the top ten at present. Middlesbrough need to quickly get over that FA Cup defeat but are on a good league run at present. They are strong at home and can get three important points from this game.
