Middlesbrough vs Huddersfield Town Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Daniel Ngulu | in Championship Predictions
Middlesbrough’s Championship campaign is getting tougher and promotion seems a distant dream after a recent poor run that they aim to arrest when they host Huddersfield Town. Ahead of the 30th round of matches, Middlesbrough are eighth in the standings with 40 points and Huddersfield 18th with 33. A shock 2-1 loss at Derby County on Saturday left Middlesbrough six points below the final promotion playoff slot. That was their fifth straight winless outing and hopes for promotion are getting slimmer. Two wins in the last 10 matches isn’t a run to inspire confidence in the promotion push, and they may finish the weekend even lower. Middlesbrough have lost seven of the last 10 matches and have just one clean sheet in the last 11 matches. In three of the last four matches, they have conceded two or more goals. It hasn’t only been poor in defence, they’ve struggled in attack as well, failing to score in three of the last five matches. The hosts have scored twice in the last five matches and conceded 10 goals in the same run. No reprieve has come from playing at home either; they have four straight losses at home and failed to score in three of the four matches.
It isn’t also entirely good at Huddersfield. They are on an eight-game winless run and head here right from a loss to bottom placed Wycombe Wanderers. The loss left them just five points above the relegation zone, having won just once in the last 10 matches in all competitions. Huddersfield have scored in each of their last four matches but failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 10 matches. In six of their last 10 matches, Huddersfield have conceded at least two goals but they have scored in eight of the last 10. Away from home in the Championship, the visitors have gone winless in nine matches, losing six.

Our Middlesbrough vs Huddersfield Town Prediction
Both these sides are having poor runs; Middlesbrough with two wins in their last 10 games and Huddesfield with one win. Lately, Middlesbrough have struggled at home, and Huddersfield away and they both haven’t been strong in defence or attack. As such we don’t expect many goals here so under 2.5 goals can pass.
All tips are fully researched and given in good faith, but profits cannot be guaranteed.
