Middlesbrough are third in the Championship and only two points off the top of the table. They have home advantage in this Carabao Cup tie and will be up against a Crystal Palace side that will make several changes from the eleven that drew with Arsenal on Sunday. Middlesbrough haven't had an easy route through to the fourth round of this competition with two of their three games going to penalties. They have drawn their last two games and at home have gone four games without a win scoring just once. Nine of their last 11 games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them and at home it's five in a row.

Crystal Palace finally scored home league goals on Sunday, though they still haven't managed one from open play. They have only scored seven goals in ten league games this season and will make several changes for this match. So far in the Carabao Cup this season they have beaten two Championship sides, Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion. This isn't easy to predict but a bet on under 2.5 goals being scored looks one that could well be a winner.
