Well at least Middlesbrough scored in midweek but ended up losing 4-2 at Hull City. They are now seven points from safety and it's all looking rather bleak for them. Just four league wins all season and not one in 2017. They managed to score twice at Hull but still only have 22 goals in the league so far and that was only the fifth time they'd managed two goals in a league game this season, no wonder they look doomed to relegation. It's five home league games without a win and they desperately need three points from this game. They still have to play Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool so a return to the Championship is on its way. Burnley are 14th and seven points above the relegation zone but out of 35 points earned this season, just three have come away from home. They beat Stoke (who are pretty rubbish at present) 1-0 on Tuesday, that ended a run of seven league games and an FA Cup home loss to non-league Lincoln City. They haven't too hard a run-in and should be safe but need a lot of work done for next season. It's hard to trust Middlesbrough at present and putting faith in Burnley away from home is never a good idea. Go for under 2.5 goals in this game.
