Middlesbrough vs Bristol City Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

The south-west visits the northeast on Saturday afternoon as Bristol City make the long journey to Middlesbrough for a Championship match. Boro are yet to lose a game at the Riverside so far this season while the visiting Robins are yet to win away from Ashton Gate. Does that make it a straightforward game to make a prediction on? 

Boro have not been the most consistent side so far this campaign. They have two wins against Swansea and Stoke at The Riverside but they dropped points to Preston and more worryingly, to Portsmouth. Those four sides have a combined two wins in 18 away games so far this season so it is not the strongest form on paper.

They have taken on stronger sides when they have been on the road but have only a win at West Brom to show for their efforts away from home. Tommy Conway was their key player early in the season but he has been injured since the September 21 game against Sunderland. He joined Boro from Bristol City but looks like missing out on his old team coming to town.

Draws have plagued Bristol City so far, five in their first nine games. They have drawn three straight in the league, picking up points at Hull on the opening day and at Swansea at the end of September so far on the road. 

3-0 losses have been sustained in their other two away games, including the first game out of the last international break when they lost to Blackburn. They have scored just twice in four away matches and now face a team who have only let in three in four at home.
