It's a big week for Mexico with a home qualifier against Honduras following this international warm-up game against Ireland. Mexico top their World Cup qualification group three points clear of Costa Rica and can sew up qualification for Russia in June. They lost a recent friendly to Croatia but before that had been unbeaten in their last ten games and have only lost once at home in the past couple of years. Ireland are battling it out with Serbia for top spot in their qualification group and a play-off spot looks guaranteed with a current four point lead over third placed Wales. They haven't played since March when losing a home game to Iceland and before that were held to a goalless draw by Wales. It's been a long hard season for them and I'm going for Mexico to get the home win here which will be ideal preparation for the upcoming World Cup matches.
