Metz vs Brest Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

Metz look to bounce back from last weekend's loss at Lille. They begin the weekend in 11th place and host Brest who are four positions above them. The home side had won two league games in a row before last weekend's defeat. They scored three times in each of those wins but failed to keep a clean sheet in both games. The Maroons are six points behind the Europa Conference League qualifying spot but more worryingly, just four above the relegation zone. Metz have won four of their 14 league games this season. Home form has produced just one of those victories and only the current bottom two in the table have a worse home record. La Graoullys had only earned three points from five home league fixtures before beating Nantes 3-1. Three of their home league fixtures this season have seen both teams score.

Brest go into the weekend only out of the European places on goal difference. They are in good form at present with seven points from their last three Ligue 1 games. Two wins have come against Montpellier and Clermont before last week drawing 1-1 at home to Strasbourg. Away form in Ligue 1 has seen the Pirates win three of their seven games but lose the same number with two of the last three lost. In terms of both teams getting on the scoresheet, three of their last five games have seen that statistic come up. We believe both Metz and Brest will score in this game.
