Third placed Central Coast Mariners travel to bottom-of-the-table Melbourne Victory. The Mariners are six points adrift of second placed Adelaide United. That means they may well have to settle for starting the play-offs in an earlier round rather than go through to the semi-finals. Central Coast have had a poor run of form of late with only two points from three games. They recovered last weekend though when beating out-of-form Macarthur 4-1 at home, all a bit of a stroll in the park. Away form for the Mariners has seen them win three out of nine with four league defeats. Only one of their last five away A-League matches has been won. Both teams have scored in five of their last six away matches.

Melbourne Victory don't quite live up to their name. They are bottom of the A-League with only five wins from their 19 games. They start this weekend two points behind Brisbane Roar and nine adrift of the final play-off position. Victory have lost their last two games with only one point from their last three fixtures. Their last win was in February and it was a big one as they defeated league leaders Melbourne City 3-2 at home. They have won three home league matches but their ten points from nine games is the worst in the A-League. The last five at home have all seen both teams score and that's our prediction for this match.
