Marumo Gallants are still searching for their first Betway Premiership win since beating Cape Town City  1-0 at home on February 11. Galants are winless in their last five league games recording three losses and two draws.

In their most recent league outing against Polokwane City, they managed to escape defeat by holding their opponents to a goalless draw at home. That result also snapped a three-match losing streak in which they conceded seven goals.

On familiar territory, Siwelele Sa Marumo was once on a five-match unbeaten run but that has since ended as they find themselves winless in two games (D1, L1).

Orlando Pirates, on the other hand, who saw their match against Royal AM in the league postponed had no trouble dispatching Cape Town City in a hard-fought 2-1 home victory over the weekend.

In that match, they were trailing behind by a goal 21 minutes into the first half. However, that didn't stop Tshegofatso Mabasa from restoring parity in the 67th minute to Goodman Mosele hammering the final nail in the coffin twenty minutes later.

The Buccaneers have shown consistency in their matches and come into this match with five wins in their last seven league outings.
