Marseille look to avoid a third successive loss in Ligue 1. They are 12th in the table and host newly-promoted Le Havre who are two places higher than them. Marseille are only behind their opponents on goal difference so will go above them with a win here. Midweek saw them give away a 2-0 home lead against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Europa Conference League. They evenually drew 2-2, their second straight draw in that competition. It hasn't been going so well in Ligue 1 with losses to PSG and leaders Monaco in their last two fixtures, conceding seven goals. Before that they had drawn with Nantes and Toulouse. Home form has seen them unbeaten this season with two wins and a draw. They have kept a clean sheet in each of their last two home league fixtures. A win would be welcome though with none in the last six but four have ended level.

Le Havre have made a confident start to the new season. Promoted from Ligue 2 last season, they have earned nine points from their first seven league fixtures. Their most recent match saw them lose at home to Lille 2-0. That was their second home loss of the season after a previous defeat by Brest. Their only two league wins since their return to Ligue 1 have both come on home soil. The Sky-and-Navy have beaten Lorient and Clermont, both sides currently in the relegation zone.
