Seven points from four games see Marseille start the weekend in fifth place but already five points behind PSG. While PSG have a 100% win record, Marseille take on Guingamp who have a 100% loss record and are bottom of the table. Marseille will be disappointed if this game ends in anything but a win. They began their season with an impressive 4-0 victory over Toulouse though it was only 2-0 going into the 89th minute. They were brought down to earth in their next game though losing 3-1 at Nimes and were then held 2-2 at home by Rennes and had to come from 2-0 down to get a point. Marseille got back in winning ways with a 3-2 win at Monaco despite being 2-1 down with 16 minutes to go. Home form is strong with four wins in the last five league games and only one loss in the last 18 and have won six out of seven home games against Guingamp, the other finishing in a draw.

Guingamp have failed to score in their last three visits to Marseille and come into this game rock bottom of the table. All four of their league games have ended in defeat with three goals scored and ten conceded, more than any other team in the league.Their miserable season began with a 2-1 defeat at St Etienne losing to an 80th minute winner. Their tough start continued with a 3-1 home defeat by the mighty PSG but they actually went into half-time 1-0 up and it was 1-1 with eight minutes to go before two Mbappe goals.  More goals were conceded when losing 3-0 at Lille, it could have been worse as they were 2-0 down in ten minutes. Their second home league game ended in a 2-1 defeat by Toulouse with another slow start as they went 2-0 down in 12 minutes. The tip here is for Marseille to get the win and with their opponents conceding early goals, go for the home side to be ahead at both half and full time.
