The quarter-finals of the Coupe de France will conclude on Wednesday when Ligue 2 side Annecy travels to Stade Velodrome to lock horns with Olympique Marseille with a place in the final four up for grabs. Annecy FC has done incredibly well to reach this stage of the tournament; however, this will be their first encounter against Ligue 1 opposition so far. The visitors beat Paris FC on penalties in the last round, which followed a 6-1 thumping of Villerupt Thil in the Round of 64 after the lower-league side was reduced to 10 men in the first half. Annecy comes into this match following a 5-1 defeat to Sochaux, with has seen them slip to tenth in Ligue 2, with a record of eight wins, eight draws, and nine losses in 25 league matches this term. It’s going to be difficult for the visitors in this one, and if they concede early, there will probably be no way back for them.
