Manchester United vs Wolves Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by James | in FA Cup Predictions
Manchester United host Wolves in the FA Cup third round in midweek after the pair endured a recent stalemate at Molineux to set up a replay. It's a fixture that neither club needed in an already congested schedule, both managers complaining about the archaic ways of the FA Cup. (Expect extra-time to replace replays before long.) At the time of writing, only one point separates the clubs in the Premier League table. Wolves (8th) are a club on the rise, one prepared to leapfrog United (6th) should their descent down the table continue. Since their promotion in 2018, Wolves have been something of a bogey team for the Red Devils. United have failed to win any of their five matches against Nuno's team with the gold-shirted side winning two games in that sequence.
Both teams enter this fixture in patchy form. Neither team has won any of their last three matches (mind you, one each was against the other) and while the FA Cup can be an unwanted distraction, a win could propel either team to a three or four-game streak before their next run of mediocrity. Solskjaer is the manager who most needs a victory. In better circumstances crashing out of the FA Cup wouldn't be deemed a horrible failure. However, a defeat here piles up the reasons Solksjaer has to go. Extra pressure he does not need. With this in mind, we see United trying to blow Wolves away from the off. Their best victories this season have come after a fast start. A half-time/full-time bet on United seems worthwhile.

Our Manchester United vs Wolves Prediction
If all of this season's Premier League games ended at half-time, Manchester United would be third in the table. They have no problem starting a game well, it's holding out that's the problem. We think that the best way to end their hoodoo against Wolves is with a fast start. They may need to build up a big lead but a half-time/full-time bet on the home team is a solid bet.
Prediction :
Half Time: Manchester United, Full Time: Manchester United
