Manchester United - Wolves: Form Analysis
Manchester United are desperate for a win here after losing their last two matches, a run that has seen fifth placed Liverpool close in on them. Erik ten Hag’s men are on 63 points, just one point above Liverpool and cannot afford to drop any more points going forward even if they have a game in hand on the Merseyside club. With three rounds left to play, the race to secure the last two remaining slots for next season’s Champions League looks like it will go down the wire. The Red Devils have lost their last two matches by similar 1-0 scorelines against Brighton and West Ham and will be relieved to return home for this round after those back-to-back away games. United haven’t lost at Old Trafford since October across all competitions and are on a 27-match unbeaten run with 23 of those fixtures ending in victory. They beat Wolves in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign but lost to them last season at home so will be extremely wary of them.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have been on and off the boil in past weeks leading up to this round but as they come to this match off the back of a win and with happy memories from their last visit to the red side of Manchester, Julen Lopetegui’s men will be confident of causing yet another upset here. Wolves dented Aston Villa’s hopes of qualifying for Europe when they secured a 1-0 win at home last time out. That success, the West Midlands club’s 11th of the season, moved them up to 40 points and by so doing secured their place in next season’s topflight for the sixth successive campaign. Wolves will now seek to finish in the top half of the table. But before they can do that they will have to arrest their uninspiring away form which stands now at six matches without a win. They have lost four of those fixtures and were thumped 6-0 by Brighton last time out on the road.

Manchester United & Wolves Squad Analysis
Manchester United have no injury concerns reported after the match against West Ham and head coach Erik ten Hag will have the same squad available to him. Youngster Alejandro Garnacho could make his first appearance since March after recovering from injury. He was named on the bench against West Ham. Still, United have a long list of casualties with Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay, Lisandro Martinez and Donny van de Beek set to miss again. The Red Devils have scored only one goal in their last three matches and will need top scorer Marcus Rashford to fire on all cylinders again. The Englishman hasn’t scored since the two-all draw with Tottenham four matchdays ago.
Wolves also didn’t report any injuries from the win against Villa but still have several players out injured with Sasa Kalajdzic and Boubacar Traore being long-term absentees. Wolves’ strikers have struggled for goals; Matheus Cunha was the last forward to find the back of the net which was four matchdays ago against Leicester. Ruben Neves and Daniel Podence lead the way in the scoring charts for Wolves and will once again be the dangermen for this clash.
