Manchester United WFC vs Chelsea Prediction & Betting Tips - Women's FA Cup
by Nella Wagah in Football Predictions
After their disappointment in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, Chelsea are chasing a double and they can bag the first of two trophies this weekend, as they face Manchester United in the FA Cup final. The match will be staged at the iconic Wembley Stadium on Sunday, with about 62,000 fans expected to attend. Chelsea are the defending champions and will be seeking to win a third straight Women’s FA Cup and they seem to be in top shape for that, coming from three straight wins. The Blues have scored 15 goals in their last three matches and are unbeaten in four ahead of this game. Here, Chelsea will be seeking a 15th straight win in the Women’s FA Cup after losing 2-1 to Everton in 2020. They have six straight wins in matches against Manchester United and they will be right to feel confident going into this game. This match will brew a special kind of rivalry, pitting the top two sides in the Women’s Super League, Chelsea trailing Manchester United by a point and with a game in hand.
Manchester United, just like Chelsea, are going for a domestic double and they come into this game on a strong footing as well, even better than Chelsea. They have seven straight wins but their only loss in 20 matches was at the hands of Chelsea in the Women’s Super League. Manchester United’s scoring run is also good; they have netted three or more goals in four of their last five matches, and a run of three clean sheets in five games will also give them the needed confidence for such a match. This is a more realistic chance to win silverware for United, who lead in the league but just by a point and having played a game more than Chelsea. Their run in the FA Cup isn’t as strong as Chelsea’s, having lost four of the last 10 matches.
