All of a sudden Manchester United have gone five games unbeaten in all competitions and Wayne Rooney can't stop scoring. The cries for van Gaal to be sacked have gone a little bit quiet and winning at Anfield is one way of getting in the good books of Man Utd fans. United are two points off the Champions League places and seven off the top of the table, they need to keep on winning if they want to get into the title race. Southampton have been rather inconsistent over the past few months but last week managed to win two league games in a row for the first time this season. They were only wins over Watford and WBA at home but the Saints also managed to sign Charlie Austin, something I've been saying they should do for months. Southampton nearly qualified for the Champions League last season but it was their away form in the second half of the season that wrecked those dreams. Away from again this year has been poor with four successive defeats and just nine goals. With United starting to hit form another win for them looks likely.
