Four games into the reign of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and all have ended in wins for Manchester United. Poor Jose Mourinho must have been looking forward to a run of games against Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bournemouth and Newcastle United. Now United host Reading in the FA Cup third round as they look to win the competition and equal the record of 13 wins currently held by Arsenal. One bonus in the win against Newcastle was that they actually kept a clean sheet, the first since November 27. United have won five of their last six home games in the FA Cup and that lncludes a 4-0 win over Reading two years ago.

Reading are one from bottom in the Championship and five points from safety. This is a good payday for them but there are more serious matters to deal with in the remaining months of the season. They have gone eight games without a win and 2019 began with a crushing 4-1 home defeat by Swansea City. Away form is poor with only one goal scored in the last four and only one away league game has been won all season. This looks booked for a home win with United ahead at both half and full time.
