Manchester United have had an impressive start to the season but by the time this game against Newcastle begins, they could be 11 points off the top of the table. United begin the weekend eight points adrift of leaders Manchester City and it's not just their rivals great form that has left United in their current dilemma. They have lost two of their last three league games and just can't afford a slip-up here, especially if the league leaders win at Leicester in the 3pm kick-offs. United haven't lost a home league game since September 2016 and are yet to concede a home league goal. With their opponents struggling for away goals, another win to nil looks on the cards. Newcastle start the weekend in 11th place but have been much higher in the table earlier in the season. They have lost their last two league games and for all the optimism shown a few weeks ago, they are still only five points above the bottom three. Newcastle have only won one away league game this season and lost three times already with just three goals scored. This looks booked for a home win to nil as Manchester United battle to stay in the title race.
