Both of these teams have suffered 4-0 away defeats in the past week. United at Chelsea and City away to Barcelona but form might go out the window in this local Derby in the EFL Cup. City have already won at Old Trafford in the Premier League this season but have gone five league and cup games without a win since that long stretch of wins at the start of the season. United are also inconsistent with losses to Watford and Chelsea and draws with Stoke and Liverpool. Mourinho's millions in the transfer market aren't showing that many dividends so far this season and another loss to City won't please the worried United fans. This is a difficult game to predict as both sides will make lots of changes.
