Manchester United vs Fulham Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in FA Cup Predictions
Manchester United continue their bid to win three trophies this season. They already have the Carabao Cup in their trophy cabinet and now host Fulham in the FA Cup quarter finals. United have been having a slightly inconsistent time in recent weeks. Winning the Carabao Cup at Wembley, beating Real Betis twice in the Europa League but losing 7-0 at Liverpool and a goalless draw with Southampton. They have only conceded one goal in the three games that have followed the Anfield nightmare. Home form has seen United win 19 and draw three of the last 22 at Old Trafford. They last won the FA Cup in 2016 and their last semi-final appearance was three years ago. This season has seen them beat Everton, Reading and West Ham United. All three ties were played at Old Trafford and each was won 3-1.
Fulham are having an excellent season with no relegation worries and this run to the last eight of the FA Cup. This is the first time they've made it past the fourth round since 2017 and their first quarter final in 13 years. They are ninth in the Premier League, six places and 11 points behind their opponents. There's still a chance of European competition next season though other clubs do have games in hand on them. Winning the FA Cup would take them into the Europa Conference League but they have to survive this tie first. Fulham have so far beaten Hull City, Sunderland (after a replay) and Leeds United to reach the last eight. They have lost their last two games, conceding six goals to Brentford and Arsenal. Back United to make it into the semi-finals.
