Manchester United vs Wolves Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Manchester United look to extend their unbeaten run when hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers. United ended the latest set of Premier League games in fourth, while Wolves are down in 11th.  The 2-2 draw at Leicester City on Boxing Day means it’s now eight league games since a home loss to Arsenal. They led twice at Leicester so would have been disappointing at not coming away with the three points. It also ended their 100% away league record. They are now five points behind leaders Liverpool with a game in hand.  Home form hasn’t been quite so productive but is improving. United have earned seven points from their last three home games, including wins over West Brom and Leeds. The other was a goalless draw with Manchester City. All a lot better than the heavy losses to Crystal Palace and Tottenham. Old Trafford had seen four games in a row with under 2.5 goals before the 6-2 win over Leeds.

Wolves scored a late goal against Tottenham (as most teams do) to grab a point on Sunday. The draw means they only have one win in their last five league matches. They are now six points behind United in fourth, so losing this game would be a major blow to any Champions League qualification hopes. Wolves are struggling on the road with three defeats in the last four. The other was a win at Arsenal but they have just three wins in their last ten away league fixtures. Their last away league game saw them lose 2-1 at Burnley, the third one in a row with over 2.5 goals scored. They have only won two of their last nine games against Manchester United, one being an FA Cup victory in 2019 against a weakened team. You have to go back to 1980 for the last time Wolves won at Old Trafford  United are in the better form and can get a home win here.
