This game will have a big influence on who will qualify for the Champions League. Manchester United start the weekend second in the Premier League with West Ham fifth. The home side are currently six points clear of the Hammers but their opponents have a game in hand on them. A win for West Ham here would really boost their hopes of a first season in the Champions League. Manchester United have lost one of their last nine league games at Old Trafford. By the time this game begins, they could well be 17 points behind leaders Manchester City, so the title race is all but over. United have already had two wins over West Ham this season. They won 3-1 at the London Stadium and recently beat them 2-1 at home in the FA Cup. A third win of the season over the Hammers is fully expected.

West Ham haven't finished higher than seventh in the Premier League since being promoted in 2012. They got off to their usual slow start this season with only eight points after seven games. This season though they actually recovered a lot earlier than they usually do. The last 20 Premier League games has seen only two other teams earn more points than them. They begin this set of games two points behind fourth placed Chelsea and with a game in hand. Wins against top sides are a rarity though and this will be tough for them. West Ham have only one point from their last two away league games compared to winning five out of six at home. Back Manchester United to get the win here.
