Manchester United vs Tottenham Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

It may only be the start of October but both of these sides need to build on not the greatest of starts to the new season. Manchester United are 14th with three points from two games, while Tottenham are eighth with four points from three matches. Both teams had a good time in cup competitions in midweek but weakened line-ups were fielded. United began their season late and got off to an appalling start with a 3-1 home loss to Crystal Palace. They prefer playing Brighton and Hove Albion though with two away wins against them this week. A 3-2 win in the league was followed by a 3-0 victory in the EFL Cup. A loss in this game could see United fall nine points behind the league leaders. They'd have a game in hand but it's not a position they want to find themselves in. Home form in the Premier League has dipped with no wins in their last three. Keeping a clean sheet is a task they can't achieve with both teams scoring in the last four league games at Old Trafford with eight goals conceded.

Tottenham have had a busy start to the season. Having to play in the Europa League qualifiers was bad enough but on top of that there's been a Carabao Cup tie too. This week alone has seen them play games on the 27th and 29th of September and then a Europa League game on October 1st. It's been a productive week though with a point against Newcastle and progression in the two cup competitions. Thursday saw them reach the Europa League group stages with a 7-2 home win over Maccabi Haifa.  That was the third time this season they have scored at least three goals in a game and the second time at least five have been hit. Keeping a clean sheet is also a problem for them.  Not one so far in seven games and both teams have scored in the last six. A bet on both teams scoring in this game looks a very likely winner.
