by Daniel Ngulu | in FA Cup Predictions
Manchester United and Liverpool are set to face off again, this time in the FA Cup, with United hosting the fourth round match, just a week after the two drew 0-0 in a league encounter. In between, each has had a match, which came with mixed fortunes – United winning and Liverpool losing. Manchester United had to claw from an early concession against Fulham in the league to win 2-1 and return to the top of the league standings. It was a continuation of the rich vein of form that the Red devils are enjoying and they are now unbeaten in the last four matches. The loss to Manchester City in the League Cup is their only one in 12 matches. They have clean sheets in three of their last four matches and failed to score in just two of the last five. Fulham really pushed United in their last game but coming from down with goals from Edison Cavani and Paul Pogba showed both good game management and fighting spirit. It was the only time in the last five matches that United’s game hit over 2.5 goals and three of their last four at home have also registered under 2.5 goals. the last four meetings with Liverpool have also seen under 2.5 goals scored.
Liverpool are coming from yet another unwanted result as they continue to struggle with poor form. On Thursday, they lost their second game in four, going down 1-0 to Burnley at home and will go to Old Trafford for this FA Cup game with their confidence battered. Liverpool were the better team in the game, but once again they failed to kill it off with the best chances they created before Ashley Barnes struck home a penalty late on. The team that was just recently top of the league, is now fourth, six points behind leaders Manchester United and will be hoping for some reprieve in the FA Cup. They have failed to score in four of the last five matches and have just one win in six – the win that came over a much weaker Aston Villa side in the last FA Cup round. Five of their last six matches have produced under 2.5 goals and away from home, Liverpool have two wins in eight matches. they have one win in the last four away FA Cup matches.

Our Manchester United vs Liverpool Prediction
Liverpool have been very poor lately, by their standards, and most of this is down to a lack of goals from a very capable forward line. Injuries to key players that would inspire the side have not helped either. They face a resurgent Manchester United side, who have specialized in winning with slim margins lately. United have four clean sheets in the last five matches and with The Reds’ scoring troubles, another slim win for the hosts seems probable.
