Manchester United vs Granada Prediction & Betting Tips - Europa League
by Daniel Ngulu | in Europa League Predictions
Manchester United have a comfortable lead over Granada ahead of their home match against the Spaniards in the Europa League quarter finals return leg clash on Thursday. Goals from Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes have United leading 2-0 and in firm control. United warmed up well for this game with a fine 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. Paul Pogba had a great game and Mason Greenwood came off the bench to score his third goal in four matches. The team now has four wins in the last five matches and having joined in after relegation from the Champions League, they have no loss in the five Europa League games, with four clean sheets and three wins. Manchester United did the job against Granada in the first leg and even though a number of players are absent, the manager would still have elected to rest most senior players, sensing a late push for the Premier League title following last weekend’s results. Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay and Luke Shaw are all suspended for this game.
Granada managed to stop a four-game losing streak with a comeback to beat Real Valladolid 2-1 in their La Liga game ahead of this key clash. They need to win by two clear goals at Old Trafford and going there having failed to score in two of their last three makes this mission look impossible. Granada also have no clean sheet in the last five matches and have conceded two or more in four of the last five. It is Granada’s first ever Europa League campaign and they will be proud of the far they’ve come. While they’ve had a fairly good run away from home in this competition, it is highly unlikely that they’ll be able to overturn this and head to the semis. They won four straight away matches in Europa League at the earlier stages, but it has been a slump thereafter, failing to win the last three, and heading here, they have two straight losses.

Our Manchester United vs Granada Prediction
Manchester United are in firm control of this tie and in Granada’s recent form, they don’t seem to have much to trouble United. The hosts have three key players suspended but will still be stronger than the Spaniards, who have conceded at least twice in four of their last five matches. A dominant display from United is expected here, and we are backing them to lead in the two halves.
