While United were getting results, the fact they were playing boring football just led to criticism of the way Louis van Gaal was getting his team to play. Now that his expensive side has gone seven games without a win, fallen out of the top four and been eliminated from the Champions League, the knives are out and most United fans want to see the back of the Dutchman. The loss at Stoke on Saturday took van Gaal another step closer to an early exit and he must surely get a win over Chelsea if he's to avoid an early departure from Old Trafford. Chelsea of course have already ditched their manager and a run of unpredictable results on Monday afternoon could see them start this game in the relegation zone. Since Mourinho left Chelsea have earned four points from two home games, it should have been six but for that dreadful Oscar penalty miss. Away form for Chelsea is appalling though with just five points all season. Only Villa and Sunderland have earned fewer Premier League points away from home this season. Improve the away form and Chelsea could yet make the top ten this season. They'll be without Diego Costa who scored twice on Saturday as he's suspended after the late booking he got. This isn't your usual United v Chelsea match and it's not a title decider that's for sure. Looking at the stats I reckon going for under 2.5 goals to be scored looks the safest bet.
