Manchester United vs Burnley Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Steve Ashfield | in Premier League Predictions
Manchester United's title hopes took another major blow on Saturday when they could only draw 2-2 at Leicester City. They are now 13 points behind league leaders Manchester City and it looks like they are in a fight for second place now. United have won eight of their nine home league games this season, winning all bar the vital one against league leaders Manchester City. Only City and Newcastle have scored league goals at Old Trafford this season and the Reds have only conceded in two of their last 12 home league matches. At the other end, United have scored in the last 13 home league games but three of the last five home league games have seen under 2.5 goals scored. That’s territory which is very familiar to Burnley who aren’t known for their high-scoring thrilling games aside from that opening weekend 3-2 win at Chelsea. Saturday did see a few goals in one of their games but the trouble is they were all scored by Spurs who beat them 3-0. That left Burnley in seventh place but still only three points off the Champions League places. They have a few injury worries at present though with Wood and Brady both missing this game. Burnley have failed to score in their last two league games and face a massive test at Old Trafford. Burnley are having a few problems on the road at present though having only scored in two of their last five away league games. They last won at Old Trafford in 1962 but did manage to get a draw here last season. United have to wiin this to keep up any faint hopes of winning the title and can get a home win over Burnley.

Our Manchester United vs Burnley Prediction
Manchester United really should have won at Leicester on Saturday and can't afford any more slip-ups. Considering the fact they dropped two points on Saturday which is the same number City have dropped all season, they are in a battle for second not first place. They continue to be strong at home and Burnley have only one point from their last two away games. They have a few injuries too and are finding it hard to score goals. Go for a United home win in this game.
