For the third game running, Manchester United went winless as they drew with Southampton 1-1 on Saturday. Their second straight game at home in the league will see United face Brighton, with seven points separating the two sides. Manchester United are fifth with 40 points and Brighton ninth on 33 points. Each of United’s last three matches have produced 1-1 draws, one of them seeing United eliminated from the FA Cup. Each of these four matches has produced under 2.5 goals. Brighton go into this game right from a 2-0 win over Watford and they’ll be fired up after ending a run of four matches without a win. This win came with their first clean sheet in eight matches. This win was also the first time in five matches that they managed to score more than one goal but in the last 10 matches they did score more than a goal in four games. Four of their last five matches have produced under 2.5 goals but only one in the last 13 in the league has produced over 2.5 goals. Notably, Brighton have gone unbeaten in their last seven league matches, and they have scored in each one of these seven league games. Goals from Neal Maupay and Adam Webster against Watford in their last game ensured for the second time in three away league matches, they scored two or more goals.
