Manchester United - Barcelona: Form Analysis
Manchester United are enjoying great form and will be aiming at a win at home to progress to the last 16. The Red Devils are unbeaten in eight matches, since their last gasp loss to Arsenal in January; their most recent outing ending in a 3-0 win over Leicester City. They have six wins in the eight unbeaten outings and have scored first in eight of their last 10 matches. Seven of their last 10 matches have produced over 2.5 goals, largely due to Manchester United’s scoring form. In nine of their last 10 matches in all competitions, Manchester United have scored two or more goals. United have however managed just four clean sheets in their last 11 matches. Playing at home should excite Manchester United, as they go into this game without a loss in their last 17 home matches. In those 17 home games, United have only failed to win two – a 0-0 draw with Newcastle United and a 2-2 draw with Leeds United. A good run in the Europa League has United on six outings without a loss; they have drawn one and won five.
Barcelona will go into this game as underdogs but seeking to keep their good run against Manchester United intact. They haven't lost to United in the last five competitive meetings, winning four of them. Coming into this game, they haven't lost in the last 18 matches. Their last defeat was in the Champions League, falling 3-0 to Bayern Munich back in October. A 2-0 win over Cadiz strengthened their leadership of the La Liga standings and that was the fourth time in five matches that they managed to score more than a goal. You will have to go back 19 matches to find an outing that Barcelona failed to score in – the Bayern Munich loss. In 11 away matches, they are unbeaten, winning nine in normal time.

Manchester United & Barcelona Squad Analysis
It is hard at the moment to think about Manchester United’s frontline and fail to mention Marcus Rashford. The striker has scored eight in the last 10 games and in his more recent home game he scored twice. Rashford was also a handful for Barcelona in the first leg and in his form, he will approach this game confidently. Manchester United will also benefit from the availability of Marcel Sabitzer and Lisandro Martinez, both who were suspended for the first leg, and it means a more solid United in defence. Casemiro will be the freshest man out there after completing a three-game suspension domestically. He was out of the win over Leicester City and will be expected to take up Sabitzer’s place in midfield. The Red Devils have no suspended players but Cristian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek remain sidelined.
Barcelona will be without Gavi for this game. The youngster was yellow carded in the first leg, his third in Europe this season, and stands suspended for this clash. Gavi will join Pderi on the sidelines but Pedri’s absence is due to injury. He is nursing a hamstring injury and is spending time in the treatment room with Ousmane Dembele, who has a thigh injury and is also out of this game. Brazilian forward Raphinha, who scored in the first leg, will be a key man to watch here. He has three goals in the last five matches and linking up with Lewandowski, who scored over the weekend make the Barcelona forward line sharp.
