Sometimes you make comments that come back to haunt you. Jose Mourinho might just have done that when he suggested that his Manchester United team can be in the top four come the end of the year. The weekend saw them put in another disappointing display as they had to come from 2-0 down to get a 2-2 draw at relegation-threatened Southampton. A loss to Arsenal here will leave them 11 points adrift of the top four and that wouldn't impress the owners of the club one little bit. Defending is a massive problem for them with 23 goals conceded in the league this season, just five less than they had put past them in the whole of the 2017/18 league season. Only two of their last five home league games have been won and there have also been cup defeats by Derby County and Juventus, so Old Trafford is by no means a fortress anymore.

Arsenal came from behind to beat Tottenham 4-2 on Sunday to climb back into the top four. That win extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 20 games and the last three matches have seen them score nine goals. One major weakness last year was their appalling away form but that's been totally turned around this season. Their last seven away games have seen them win six and draw at Crystal Palace with their only away loss all season being at Chelsea in August. Six away games in this league have produced 16 goals and they could do well against a dodgy United defence. Go for Arsenal to get the win in this match.
