Manchester City - Wolves: Form Analysis
Aside from their Champions League loss on penalties to Real Madrid, Manchester City have gone 31 games unbeaten. Additionally, City have been rattling in plenty of goals of late, scoring 19 goals in their last five Premier League games. With Arsenal hosting Bournemouth earlier in the day, second-place City could be four points behind by the time this game kicks off. In which case, a win is imperative if City are to keep hot on the tails of their rivals for the title. Ahead of the weekend, City remained a point behind the Gunners following their comfortable 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest. With the Gunners not looking likely to slip up at present, Pep Guardiola’s team are going to have to continue to show that level of consistency.
Gary O’Neil’s Wolves did have the satisfaction of being one of the three teams to beat City this season, earning a 2-1 win over Pep Guardiola’s team back in September. However, their recent form isn’t great, with just one win in seven. That victory came last weekend thanks to a 2-1 home win against relegation-threatened Luton Town. A record of five wins, four draws and eight defeats away from home this season is unlikely to concern too many of the home supporters at the Etihad on Saturday night. Wolves lie 11th in the table with 46 points, safe from relegation but out of the battle for European places.

Manchester City & Wolves Squad Analysis
Manchester City have doubts over a trio of players for this game. Goalkeeper Ederson is the main worry and most likely to miss out with a shoulder injury which is still being assessed for severity. Ruben Dias and Phil Foden were both ill during the week, but both are expected to be fit for the game against Wolves at the weekend. Erling Haaland has also shown no ill-effects since his return and is also fit to play on Saturday.
Gary O’Neil has a few more injury worries for his team ahead of the game on Saturday. Youngster Leon Chiwone and experienced Craig Dawson are both out for the season. Pedro Neto is close to a return but will sit out the game at the weekend. There are doubts over a number of other players too with Noha Lemina, Santiago Bueno, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde all expected to be close to game time decisions as to whether they can play or not.
