It's been on the cards for months now but this weekend should see Manchester City clinch the Premier League title. They start the weekend 16 points clear at the top of the table in the most one-sided title race in years. They have consistently outplayed their rivals and need just 12 goals to complete 100 in the Premier League this season and 16 points from their last seven games to reach 100. This game is an absolute dream for City as they get the chance to win the title and beat Manchester United. It's almost as good as United fans thinking they'd won the title and then having to watch Aguero score with the last kick of the ball. City are unbeaten in their last eight league games and not lost a home league game since December 2016 and have played 27 games since then. Recent form against United has seen them earn seven points out of nine and they would just love three more on Sunday.

Manchester United would love to spoil the party and have their own battle for second place to think about. If Liverpool beat Everton on Saturday they will drop to third but be a point behind with two games in hand so could afford to drop points here. Second place would be their best finish since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson but even he would have struggled to keep pace with this City side. United have had strong home form this season but it's results on the road that have cost them dearly having earned 14 points less than City have managed and they have lost two of their last three away Premier League matches. There is the chance Mourinho will park the bus this weekend but City have the ability to get through it and win this game and the title.
