Liverpool travel to the Etihad on Thursday night for Premier League action against Manchester City. Top of the table and confirmed as champions of the 2019/20 season after City's loss to Chelsea, Liverpool will receive a guard of honour. City are currently second in the table, 23 points behind the Reds, an embarrassing deficit considering the quality of their squad. However, Liverpool have been incredible this season, so much so that they could afford to drop eight points from their remaining seven games and still break the Premier League points tally record. City will do their bit to preserve that 98-point record that they set last season. Yet City have had a tough time against Liverpool during Klopp's time in charge, only winning one of their last six competitive meetings in normal time. The toughest tests they've been given by Liverpool have come at Anfield though. City won this fixture 2-1 last season and went on to win the title by a point. The motivations of that game won't be present for this one but City will want small revenge on their foes.

Liverpool have only lost one match in the Premier League this season, away to Watford and it came right before the lockdown. They followed it up with a draw at Everton so they are winless in two games on the road. The only other occasion on which they dropped points also came on the road, a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. They have managed to keep six clean sheets in their last eight away games but come up against a City side that has scored 16 goals in their last six home matches. There have been over 2.5 goals in nine of City's last 11 games at home and we're anticipating a festival of goals at the Etihad. Liverpool will play with the added freedom that comes with being champions and City will look to remind everyone of their power. Back over 3.5 goals.
