Midweek saw Manchester City's poor away European form finally get them knocked out of the Champions League. Now their task is to ensure they finish in the top four and win the FA Cup. They start the weekend in third place six points ahead of fifth place Arsenal but with a game played more. Their opponents Liverpool sit in fourth just a point behind City but have played a game more than City and two more than Arsenal. A win for the Gunners at West Brom on Saturday will put even more pressure on these two sides. City are  unbeaten in their last six league games and have kept four clean sheets in a row (Monaco managed eight against them in two games!). It's a vital period for City as their next two league games are away at Arsenal and Chelsea. The battle to finish in the top four might be harder than they think if not managing at least four points from those three top of the table games. Home form is strong with a nine game unbeaten run in league and cup games, though Stoke recently held them to a goalless draw. Liverpool are in fourth place but need to keep winning having played more games than the others around them due to their early FA Cup exit. They struggled to get a home win over Burnley last week but it's away form that is the big worry with no wins in their last four on the road including defeats at Hull City and Leicester City. As long as City don't have a hangover from Wednesday, they can get a vital home win over the Reds.
