Manchester City vs FC Copenhagen Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League
by Ian John | in Champions League Predictions
Manchester City host FC Copenhagen in the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie, with the Citizens holding a comfortable 3-1 lead from the first leg in Copenhagen. Pep Guardiola's men won this trophy for the first time last season and have made a hugely impressive start of their defence of the title, with seven wins from seven games so far in the tournament. Copenhagen have lost on their only two previous visits to the Etihad Stadium and this fixture looks like being an incredibly difficult one for them given the advantage the home side hold in the match.Limited Offer. Manchester City - FC Copenhagen: Form Analysis
Manchester City come into this game in incredible form. They are not just 19 games unbeaten in all competitions, but in the Champions League, they have gone 20 games unbeaten since the start of their winning campaign last year in this competition. Drawing six games, winning 14. They put right a 1-1 draw with Chelsea a couple of weeks ago by thrashing Luton Town 6-2 in their FA Cup Fifth Round tie, to set up a quarterfinal with Newcastle United and then started off a crucial run of games in the League with a 3-1 victory over Manchester United at the weekend, coming from a goal down to clinch the win with another outstanding second half performance.
Copenhagen's form of late hasn't been that great with three defeats in their last five and a 2-0 reverse at Midtjyland at the weekend seeing their opponents head to the top of the Danish Superliga on the back of that victory. The Danish side has won against a Manchester side this season, a 4-3 win over Manchester United in the Group Stage seeing them earn a shot in the Round of 16 but this is a very different task against a much better team and the fact that they are already 3-1 down from the first leg only makes it even more difficult. The Danes have shown some real grit and determination in this competition this season. However that may not be enough to keep them from getting a bit of a chasing by City at the Etihad on Wednesday night.

Manchester City & FC Copenhagen Squad Analysis
Manchester City only have one injury absentee for the game at the Etihad this week. England star Jack Grealish returned from an injury sustained in the first leg in Copenhagen away to Fulham last week but the injury recurred and it means that the England star is set for an extended spell on the sidelines and may not return until late March or early April. Pep Guardiola will be happy to see his players come through the Manchester derby unscathed, with Phil Foden once again catching the eye with a double strike against United, following on from the winner he hit against Brentford a couple of weeks ago.
Copenhagen boss Jacob Neestrup heads into the second leg against Manchester City with severe doubts over the participation of three of his players through injury. Goalkeeper Theo Sander, Midfielder Lukas Lerager and defender Davit Khocholava are all out for the game and there is also a concern that Oscar Hojlund could miss the game too. There are some familiar names that Neestrup can call upon including big Danish striker Andreas Cornelius, ex-Southampton winger Mohamed Elyounoussi and former Liverpool youth goalkeeper Kamil Grabara. Men to watch include midfielder Roony Bardghji, who scored the winner against Manchester United earlier this season, as well as winger Elias Achouri.

2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer
One of the worst feelings when placing a football bet is when the team that you have backed has gone into a multiple-goal lead only to be clawed back to a draw or to lose the game in question. This is something that bet365 has rectified for their bettors courtesy of this offer. If the team that you backed takes a two-goal lead your bet will be paid out as a winner. That is any two-goal lead so 2-0, 3-1, 4-2 etc will all be paid out early as a winner if your team is in that position. This is available in 80 different competitions including the major leagues across Europe and can be played on the full-time result market. Singles and multiples are both valid for this offer but you cannot bet on enhanced price markets. As with most promotions, if you cash out a bet in full, the bet will no longer be available for the offer in question. It also cannot be used if you bet on the draw on a game.

Belgium superstar Kevin De Bruyne gave Manchester City the lead after just 10 minutes, but City were set back a few minutes later when Jack Grealish was forced off through an injury with Jeremie Doku coming on to replace him.

However just before the half time interval, City went back in front when a deflection off Mattsson fell into the path of Bernardo Silva who cleverly shot home using the outside of his foot.
City dominated the rest of the game but it took until added time for them to add a third when Phil Foden slammed home De Bruyne's cut back with virtually the final kick of the match.
