Manchester City vs Everton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Daniel Ngulu | in Premier League Predictions
Everton haven’t had the best of runs lately and they have another tough outing on the way, as they travel to Manchester City for the 12th round of league matches. Ahead of this game, second placed City have 23 points, just three behind league leaders Chelsea while Everton have dropped to 11th with 15 points. The hosts have the second best defence in the league so far, having conceded six goals only and going to this game they have two clean sheets in the last five matches. In their last five matches they’ve scored two or more goals in three. In each of the last five, they’ve managed at least a goal in the first half and with four wins in the last six home league games, they will be fired up for this one. Aymeric Laporte is suspended for this game while Ferran Torres remains out with injury.
Everton are going through a very tough period and already the pressure is mounting on manager Rafa Benitez. The Spaniard is forced to deal with a number of injuries to key players, including lead scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin, defender Yerry Mina and midfielders Andre Gomes and Abdoulaye Doucooure. The visiting team has no win in the last five matches, losing three of them and has conceded 16 goals in the league so far. In two of their last five matches they’ve failed to score and have conceded nine in the five games, while keeping just one clean sheet. It isn’t any better away from home; Everton have no win in their last three away matches and they do not boast a very impressive run against Manchester City. They go to this game with eight straight losses against City.

Our Manchester City vs Everton Prediction
Manchester City’s last act before the international break was an easy win over arch rivals Manchester United. They are on a good run and will seek recovery from their shock loss to Crystal Palace in their last home match. Going to this game they’ve established dominance early in their recent matches, and seeing Everton’s form ahead of this game, we don’t expect City to struggle a lot in dealing with them. Back City to score in the first half.
