The top two in the Women's Super League face each other this Sunday. Leaders Manchester City will hope to make home advantage pay when they host second placed Chelsea. City go into the weekend one point clear of Chelsea but their opponents have a game in hand on them. The home side will find this a lot tougher than their last game, a 10-0 home win over Ipswich in the FA Women's Cup. They have won their last six league games since losing 2-1 away at Chelsea in early December. City led that match until Chelsea turned the game around with goals in the 79th and 81st minutes. That was only their second league loss of the season, the other being a 1-0 away defeat at Arsenal (currently third). Home form is incredibly strong with eight wins out of eight. 21 goals have been scored and just two conceded. They have won their last 11 home league matches and last lost in April 2018 and 21 games have been played since then.

Chelsea know a win here will take them two points clear of City and with a game in hand. Their last two away games against Manchester City have both ended in 2-2 draws.  They have won all of their last nine league and cup games and are the only side in this league still unbeaten. 14 league games have seen them win 12 and draw two. Those two draws were away at Brighton and Liverpool, both games they would have expected to win. They have won five straight league games since their last draw with 23 goals scored and only three conceded. That included a stunning 4-1 away win at defending champions Arsenal.
