Both of the top two teams in the Premier League won at the weekend, though Liverpool left it late to beat Tottenham. Those results leave Liverpool two points clear of Manchester City who have this game in hand. A win at home to Cardiff City will take them a point clear of their rivals. City won 2-0 at Fulham on Saturday and after this game take on Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup semi-final. They should be able to get three points from this game and that would extend their unbeaten run to 12 league games. City have won each of their last seven league games scoring 18 and conceding just three. At the Etihad, City have won 16 of their last 17 league games so this is a massive task for Cardiff City.

The Welsh side looked as if they were going to get a win on Sunday when 1-0 up on Chelsea with minutes to go. They ended up controversially losing 2-1 and that has left them 20th in the table and five poins from safety. This is their game in hand on their rivals but it's the last one they'd want to have. Cardiff have only earned eight points from their 14 away league games this season and have lost three of the last four. Their reverse fixture against Manchester City ended in a 5-0 defeat. Go for Manchester City to win this game and be leading at both half and full time.
