Manchester City managed to extend their hold of second place in midweek with a resounding win over Arsenal and will host Burnley as the Premier League enters Round 30. Ahead of this match, City are on 60 points, a massive 21 ahead of 10th placed Burnley. City trails Liverpool by 22 points and have no realistic chance of successfully defending the title. They head to this game with six wins in their last seven matches across all competitions and with four straight wins against Burnley, they will be firm favorites. City haven’t lost to Burnley in the last seven meetings and in five of those matches, they have scored three or more goals. They have two losses and seven wins in their last 10 Premier League matches; their win over Arsenal seemed easy though the injury to Eric Garcia was a big dent. They will be looking to extend the same favors on Burnley here and playing at home where they are unbeaten in six league matches will be a boost. They have eight wins in 10 home matches in the league, and have scored at least twice in nine of the 10 matches

Burnley do not carry a run as good as Manchester City’s but they can be tough to crack on a good day. They were unbeaten in five matches by the time the league was called to a stop, but three of these were draws. In their last match, they drew 1-1 with Tottenham and with their record against City, a similar result will be acceptable. Though overall they have not had a good away run, they will be happy to carry to the Etihad a run of three matches unbeaten away from home. Burnley have four wins in 14 away league matches. They won 2-0 at Manchester United in January and a 0-0 draw with Newcastle made it two clean sheets in three matches. They will hope to maintain the same here.
