Manchester City vs Burnley Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in FA Cup Predictions
A Premier League title looks almost inevitable for Manchester City and they only have to get past Championship side Bristol City to reach the Carabao Cup final. Now they begin their bid for a domestic treble with a home game against Burnley in the third round. City haven't won the FA Cup since 2011 and that's their only win since 1969. They last reached the final in 2013, losing to Wigan, so a win is probably overdue. Pep Guardiola will of course play a weakened side but that's worked in the Carabao Cup so it's a tactic he'll gladly use. City have won 13 of their last 14 home games in all competitions, the other being the Carabao Cup tie against Wolves that they eventually won on penalties. Their last loss at home was to Chelsea at the start of December 2016 and they have already beaten Burnley 3-0 at home this season. The away side are seventh in the Premier League and those dreams of a top four finish look over now as they are ten points behind that position. Burnley have gone five games without a win since that victory over Stoke that took them up to fourth. Away form has seen them go four without a win and the only game they scored in was that 2-2 draw at Old Trafford where they led 2-0 at one stage. Manchester City have a much stronger squad than their opponents and you should back City to win having also led at half-time.

Our Manchester City vs Burnley Prediction
Manchester City had a good home win on Tuesday and their injury crisis wasn't as bad as originally feared. They will leave players out for this game but their opponents are likely to do that as well after a tough fixture list over Christmas. City can get the win against a Burnley side that are starting to struggle a bit, go for the home side to lead at both half-time and full-time.
