Malta vs Sweden Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Sweden are in second place in Group F of the Euro 2020 qualifiers. They trail Spain by seven points so clinching second place is their aim and the Swedes have a one-point lead over Romania and are two ahead of Norway with four games remaining. After winning their UEFA Nations League group, Sweden are already assured of a play-off place but would prefer not to go down that route. Securing three points from this trip to Malta is an absolute must as they still have to play Spain at home and travel to Romania. The Swedes have only lost one of their six group matches, not surprisingly that as an away loss to Spain. They beat Malta 3-0 at home in the reverse fixture and in the last calendar year have only lost two of 12 games. 

Malta are one from bottom in this group with just three points from their six matches. Their only win was a 2-1 home victory over the Faroe Islands who have lost all six of their qualifiers. That win over the Faroe Islands is their only win in the last 22 games played over the last couple of years. All five played since the win have been lost with no goals scored and 12 conceded. Just one win in their last 18 home games and all 12 previous games against Sweden have been lost. Go for Sweden to win this game and be ahead at both half and full time.
