Malta plays host to Greece at the Ta'Qali National Stadium for this friendly international. The home team had an excellent 2-1 win over Israel in their last match back in September while the visitors beat Northern Ireland 3-1 in their last match. Malta had a disappointing World Cup qualification tournament where they finished bottom of their group, winning just one of their ten matches. They did however show improvement when they played in the Nations League where they finished second in their group, six points behind Estonia. Malta have proven very hit and miss in their recent matches with no draws in their last ten games,with five wins and five draws. Their home record is very similar to their overall record with five wins and five losses in their last ten matches. They have only had one draw their last 14 home matches.

Greece will be disappointed with their performance in the World Cup qualifiers where they finished third in their group, nine points behind group winners Spain. They showed much better form in the Nations League where they topped their group in League C which now gives them automatic promotion to League B. Greece won five of their six group matches and finished a massive six points ahead of second placed Kosovo. They can owe much of their success to their excellent defence as they only conceded two goals in the six matches. Greece’s form on the road has been patchy with three wins and three losses in their last six away matches.
